Professional Experience:
Silvia González is a Tax and Legal Partner at Grant Thornton Costa Rica. She is a lawyer and Notary Public specializing in tax law, holding a master's degree in tax consulting. She also has over 17 years of experience in litigation, tax law, and administrative law.
In the area of tax litigation, she serves as an advisor and director of administrative proceedings, as well as in contentious litigation, addressing substantive issues related to income tax, general sales tax, value-added tax, exchange rate differential, customs, and specific and indirect taxes. She has also provided complementary corporate legal support in connection with various tax consulting engagements, such as due diligence, mergers, share sales, company formation, liquidations, transfers of commercial establishments, and issues related to shareholder meetings or corporate resolutions.
Teaching Experience:
She has distinguished herself as a lecturer on tax law. Contributor to articles published in the media, including La Nación, La República, and El Financiero.
